ROY CARR (73) / ENGLISH MUSIC JOURNALIST WRITING ABOUT POP, ROCK AND JAZZ. ALSO A BROADCASTER, RECORD PRODUCER AND LINER NOTES WRITER. THE SON OF JAZZ MUSICIAN AND COMPOSER TONY CARR, HE WAS A MUSICIAN HIMSELF (THE EXECUTIVES). IN THE 1960's JOINED THE NEW MUSICAL EXPRESS (NME) AND THEN WAS A STAFF WRITER AT NME, VOX AND MELODY MAKER. WROTE A BOOK THE HIP: HIPSTERS, JAZZ AND THE BEAT GENERATION (1987) WITH BRIAN CASE AND FRED DELLAR. HE ALSO WROTE BEATLES AT THE MOVIES (1996), A CENTURY OF JAZZ (1997), A TALK ON THE WILD SIDE (2010), THE BEATLES: AN ILLUSTRATED RECORD (1976). CO-WROTE BOOKS ON JAZZ ON CDs, THE BEATLES, THE ROLLING STONES, DAVID BOWIE, FLEETWOOD MAC AND ELVIS PRESLEY.

BILL WATROUS (79) / AMERICAN JAZZ TROMBONIST. STUDIED WITH THE GREAT JAZZ PIANIST AND COMPOSER HERBIE NICHOLS. IN THE 1960's PLAYED AND RECORDED WITH WOODY HERMAN, MAYNARD FERGUSON, QUINCY JONES, KAI WINDING AND JOHNNY RICHARDS. IN 1971 PLAYED WITH ROCK / JAZZ FUSION BAND TEN WHEELS DRIVE. IN THE MID-'70s LED HIS OWN GROUP THE MANHATTAN WILDLIFE REFUGE BIG BAND (ONLY TWO ALBUMS ON COLUMBIA RECORDS). RECORDED OVER 20 ALBUMS AS A LEADER BUT ALSO WITH KENNY BURRELL, PAUL DESMOND, JIMMY WITHERSPOON, RED RODNEY.
HENRY BUTLER (68) / AMERICAN JAZZ PIANIST. WORKED AND RECORDED AS A LEADER AND WITH JAMES CARTER, COREY HARRIS AND STEVEN BERNSTEIN.
ALAN LONGMUIR (70) / SCOTTISH BASS GUITARIST, GUITARIST AND KEYBOARD PLAYER KNOWN FOR WORKING WITH THE BAY CITY ROLLERS, THE POP GROUP ESPECIALLY POPULAR IN THE 1970's.

RICHARD SWIFT (41) / AMERICAN SINGER, SONGWRITER, MULTI-INSTRUMENTALIST, PRODUCER AND SHORT-FILM MAKER. PLAYED WITH THE SHINS, THE ARCS AND THE BLACK KEYS.
