TIM QUY JOINED CARDIACS AROUND 1981, BECOMING PART OF THEIR "CLASSIC LINEUP" (1984-1989), PLAYING ON THE 1984 THE SEASIDE ALBUM (RECORDED 1980-1983) WHICH INCLUDED HIT "IS THIS THE LIFE?", BIG SHIP EP IN 1987, A LITTLE MAN AND A HOUSE AND THE WHOLE WORLD WINDOW IN 1988. IN 1979 SPALDING JOINED ORIGINAL MIRRORS FOUNDED BY PUNK ROCK MUSICIANS FROM BIG IN JAPAN AND DEAF SCHOOL. 1980-1983 WITH THE TOYAH BAND LED BY PUNK ROCK SINGER TOYAH WILLCOX. LATER WORKED WITH SKA / 2TONE / POP SINGER SUGGS (MADNESS), MIKE OLDFIELD, ALTERNATIVE ROCK SINGER MATTHEW SWEET AND SIMON TOWNSHEND. BURT BACHARACH (94) / AMERICAN COMPOSER, SONGWRITER, RECORD PRODUCER, ARRANGER, PIANIST WHO USED JAZZ HARMONIES. A POP MUSIC GIANT, COMPOSED MANY HITS, OFTEN WITH LYRICS BY HAL DAVID (SINCE 1957), IN THE 1960s OFTEN FOR DIONNE WARWICK. BACHARACH WROTE 73 TOP 40 HITS IN THE US AND 52 IN THE UK. SOME OF HIS GREATEST HITS WERE "THIS GUY'S IN LOVE WITH YOU" (1968), "RAINDROPS KEEP FALLING ON MY HEAD" (1969), "(THEY LONG TO BE) CLOSE TO YOU" (1970), "ARTHUR'S THEME (BEST THAT YOU CAN DO)" (1981), "THAT'S WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR" (1986). AS A TEENAGER LOVED JAZZ, OFTEN VISITING THE 52ND STREET CLUBS TO HEAR BEBOP AND MUSICIANS LIKE DIZZY GILLESPIE, COUNT BASIE. THEN HE STUDIED MUSIC, INCLUDING JAZZ HARMONY WITH DARIUS MILHAUD (HIS GREATEST INFLUENCE), HENRY COWELL, BOHUSLAV MARTINU. WORKING AT THE BRILL BUILDING, BACHARACH MET LYRICIST HAL DAVID AND THEY FORMED A LASTING WRITING PARTNERSHIP IN 1963 CREATING HUNDREDS OF HITS. WHEN BACHARACH DISCOVERED DIONNE WARWICK, THEY WROTE FOR HER LOTS OF GREAT SONGS FOR 20 YEARS MANY OF WHICH (38 SINGLES) CHARTED, INCLUDING "ANYONE WHO HAD A HEART", "WALK ON BY", "ALFIE", "I SAY A LITTLE PRAYER", "I'LL NEVER FALL IN LOVE AGAIN", "DO YOU KNOW THE WAY TO SAN JOSE". THEN THEY SPLIT, TO REUNITE IN 1985 FOR "THAT'S WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR".

THIS GROUP IS DESCRIBED AS JAZZ RAP / ALTERNATIVE HIP HOP. DE LA SOUL WERE PART OF THE NATIVE TONGUES COLLECTIVE ALONG WITH THE JUNGLE BROTHERS AND A TRIBE CALLED QUEST WHO PIONEERED SAMPLING AND JAZZ-INFLUENCED BEATS AND HAD POSITIVE, AFROCENTRIC LYRICS AS OPPOSED TO BRUTAL AND VIOLENT LYRICS OF GANGSTA RAP. O WAS THE GUITARIST AND CO-FOUNDER OF THE SAN DIEGO PUNK ROCK GROUP OLIVELAWN, ACTIVE 1990-1992, WHICH RELEASED TWO ALBUMS ON NEMESIS AND HEADHUNTER LABELS, THEIR SECOND, AND LAST ALBUM SOPHOMORE JINX! WAS PRODUCED BY JACK ENDINO. THEN THEIR DRUMMER JOINED FU MANCHU IN 1993 AND BARTHOULAMEU AND BASSIST DONHOWE FORMED FLUF (1992-2000 AND 2013-2023) WHO MADE FOUR ALBUMS. BARTHOULAMEU ALSO PRODUCED THE DEBUT STUDIO ALBUM CHESHIRE CAT BY THE SKATE PUNK BAND BLINK (LATER BLINK-182).

HADJI-LAZARO FOUNDED THE INDEPENDENT RECORD LABEL BOUCHERIE PRODUCTIONS (1985-2001). AS AN ACTOR PLAYED IN OVER 20 FILMS, ESPECIALLY IN THE 1994 ITALIAN COMEDY HORROR FILM DELLAMORTE DELLAMORE (ONE OF THE MAIN ROLES) BASED ON A GRAPHIC NOVEL BY TIZIANO SCLAVI, IN THE US DISTRIBUTED UNDER THE TITLE CEMETERY MAN.
