RANDY RAMPAGE (58) / CANADIAN HARDCORE PUNK MUSICIAN, BASS GUITARIST, SINGER AND FOUNDING MEMBER OF THE VANCOUVER LEGENDARY PIONEERING HARDCORE BAND D.O.A.. BORN RANDALL DESMOND ARCHIBALD, IN EARLY 1978 HE BECAME THE ORIGINAL D.O.A.'s MEMBER TOGETHER WITH JOEY "SHITHEAD" KEITHLEY ON GUITAR, CHUCK BISCUITS ON DRUMS AND THE LEAD SINGER "HARRY HOMO" WHO GAVE THE BAND ITS NAME BUT SURVIVED ONLY THE DEBUT GIG. IN SUMMER 1978 THEY SELF-RELEASED A FOUR SONG EP DISCO SUCKS AND SOON AFTER THE SECOND SINGLE THE PRISONER. RANDY RAMPAGE PLAYED ALSO ON THE FIRST TWO D.O.A.'s ALBUMS SOMETHING BETTER CHANGE (1980) AND HARDCORE '81 WHICH MADE "HARDCORE PUNK" A POPULAR TERM. IN LATE 1979 RAMPAGE AND BISCUITS LEFT AFTER A BAD GIG BUT REJOINED IN MARCH 1980. ON JANUARY 1, 1982 HE WAS FIRED FROM THE BAND AND RETURNED ONLY AFTER ALMOST 20 YEARS. APPEARED ON THE 2002 WIN THE BATTLE ALBUM AND LEFT AGAIN. IN 2007 CAME BACK, PLAYED ON THE NORTHERN AVENGER ALBUM AND, OBVIOUSLY, LEFT.
RANDY RAMPAGE OCCASIONALLY SANG FOR THE CANADIAN SPEED METAL / THRASH BAND ANNIHILATOR, WAS ON THEIR DEBUT ALBUM ALICE IN HELL (1989) THEN CRITERIA FOR A BLACK WIDOW (1999) OF COURSE LEAVING THEM IN BETWEEN. WAS ALSO A FRONT MAN OF A METAL BAND STRESS FACTOR 9 . APPEARED IN A 2010 CANADIAN DOCUMENTARY FILM BLOODIED BUT UNBOWED ALONG WITH JELLO BIAFRA, JOE KEITHLEY, PENELOPE HOUSTON, ART BERGMANN, HENRY ROLLINS. CO-WROTE HIS BIOGRAPHY "I SURVIVED D.O.A.".

ARETHA FRANKLIN (76) / AMERICAN SINGER AND PIANIST, POPULARLY CALLED "THE QUEEN OF SOUL", WAS ALSO A POP, R&B, GOSPEL, DOO-WOP, BLUES AND JAZZ PERFORMER. HER CAREER SPANNED MORE THAN 60 YEARS. FIRST ALBUM SONGS OF FAITH RELEASED WHEN SHE WAS 14. SOLD OVER 75 MILLION RECORDS WORLDWIDE. WON 18 GRAMMY AWARDS. RECORDED 112 CHARTED SINGLES ON BILLBOARD MAGAZINE AND BECAME THE MOST CHARTED FEMALE ARTIST IN THE CHART'S HISTORY. WHEN ROLLING STONE MAGAZINE PUBLISHED THEIR LIST OF "100 GREATEST SINGERS OF ALL TIME", ARETHA FRANKLIN WAS NUMBER ONE. A KEY PLAYER ON THE FIRST THREE ALBUMS: PRONOUNCED 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd (1973), SECOND HELPING (1974) AND NUTHIN' FANCY (1975). HIS SONGS WERE COVERED BY THE KINKS, THE FLAMIN' GROOVIES, FREDDY FENDER, DWIGHT YOAKAM, DAVE EDMUNDS, ANSON FUNDERBURGH, THE FABULOUS THUNDERBIRDS. HE WROTE FAMOUS SONGS LIKE "I HEAR YOU KNOCKIN'", "I'M A LOVER NOT A FIGHTER", "SUGAR COATED LOVE". THEY WERE FREQUENTLY COVERED BY MANY GREATS, BUT, SADLY, OFTEN CREDITED TO J. MILLER OR TO LESTER AND MILLER, ROBBING HIM OF HIS ROYALTIES. IN 2003 MARTIN SCORCESE INVITED LESTER TO PLAY IN HIS BLUES TRIBUTE CONCERT AT RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL TOGETHER WITH B.B. KING, SOLOMON BURKE, CLARENCE "GATEMOUTH" BROWN, BUDDY GUY, LEVON HELM, CHUCK D, THE NEVILLE BROTHERS, DR. JOHN, JOHN FOGERTY AND AEROSMITH. IT IS COMMECIALLY AVAILABLE AS THE FILM AND ALBUM LIGHTNING IN A BOTTLE. IN 1998 LAZY LESTER WAS INDUCTED INTO THE LOUISIANA BLUES HALL OF FAME, IN 2012 INTO THE BLUES HALL OF FAME IN MEMPHIS. RECORDED FOR EXCELLO, ALLIGATOR AND TELARC AMONG OTHERS.

KYLE PAVONE (28) / AMERICAN ROCK SINGER AND PIANIST IN POST-HARDCORE / METALCORE BAND WE CAME AS ROMANS (WCAR). THEIR FIRST EP DREAMS GOT GOOD REVIEWS IN ABSOLUTEPUNK. IN 2010 WCAR APPEARED ON THE PUNK GOES POP VOLUME THREE COMPILATION IN 2012 ON PUNK GOES POP VOLUME FIVE, IN BOTH CASES COVERING BOY BAND SONGS, THEN VOLUME SIX (A TAYLOR SWIFT COVER). WE CAME AS ROMANS HAVE OFTEN BEEN DESCRIBED AS A MIX BETWEEN HARDCORE AND EMO.
